What are Magic bytes?
Magic bytes are the first few bytes of a file which can be used to help recognize the file type. This is not usually visible in the file itself but can be seen if using specialized tools.
Stairwell does provide this information in the platform so that users can have a higher degree of confidence with the file type. There are some ways to exploit this and make a file appear as something it's not, so Stairwell does not rely on this field alone to make determinations.
