Although we recommend leaving Stairwell running as much as possible, there are occasions where you may want to pause the Stairwell forwarder, we call this Sleep Mode. In the sleep mode, forwarders will not record or report any sightings or take any other action other than a lightweight check for when they should wake back up. This feature is available in the following forwarder versions.

Switch to Sleep Mode 🌒

Single Asset

1. Navigate to https://app.stairwell.com/assets
2. Find the desired asset
3. R-Click on the asset
4. Select Sleep Mode ➡️ Turn On Sleep Mode

Asset Group

1. Navigate to https://app.stairwell.com/assets
2. If multiple environments exists, Select an environment in the top right environment drop down
3. Find the "Groups" tab
4. R-Click on the group
5. Select Sleep Mode ➡️ Turn On Sleep Mode

2. Find the desired asset
3. R-Click on the asset
4. Select Sleep Mode ➡️ Turn Off Sleep Mode

2. If multiple environments exists, Select an environment in the top right environment drop down
3. Find the "Groups" tab
4. R-Click on the group
5. Select Sleep Mode ➡️ Turn Off Sleep Mode

Mode Transition Time

Changing the mode from wake to sleep mode and from sleep to waking mode may take up to 15 minutes to apply.
